Ross has gained significant financial market knowledge and experience over the past years. He worked for Cortex Securities for 4 years, heading up their online trading division. Here he helped grow the business from start-up, to becoming the 5th largest derivative broker in South Africa.
In 1994 Ross co-founded Agence ‘d Information, an online media business. Agence ‘d Information, one of the first online financial publications in South Africa, made financial information easily accessible to investment decision makers over the internet.
With the investment experience he had gained from managing investments on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, Ross started his active trading career in 1996, trading agricultural and financial futures and options on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
In 2007, he co-founded Geared Trading with two partners and currently heads up the business. He has directed numerous strategic initiatives and is experienced in systems analysis, software development and project management. He speaks Zulu and relates well to individuals at all levels and from all cultural backgrounds. He also enjoys doing business presentations. Ross’ goals include:
